It was one successful night last night for Ben Affleck who won the most anticipated prize of the night, Best Film, for his adaptation of the thrilling true story, ARGO. He also went home with the Best Director award and Best Editing.

Surprisingly, during the full preview of the BAFTAs it was only Anne Hathaway who allowed Les Miserables to gain some of the spotlight for her win for Best Supporting Actress. However, it wasn’t until wondrous host, Mr Fry, said his goodbyes that we found out that the beautiful musical had one another three awards: Make-up and Hair, Production Design and Sound.

The Outstanding British Film opened the award ceremony and unsurprisingly it was Skyfall that took the trophy. You would have thought they had been named the Best British Film of All Time by the way they took the award so seriously.

Quentin Tarantino was another one who struck gold for his highly-hyped Django Unchained. His speech for winning Best Original Screenplay was as cool as ever and Christoph Waltz also bet Tommy Lee Jones for Supporting Actor.
